Become a Member of PTSA

The #1 way to help PTSA is joining as a member. You may purchase your membership (parent, student, grandparent, etc) online here. Memberships start as low as $5 and the money raised goes toward events throughout the year that students, families and faculty enjoy. We aim for 100% member participation from Landon families (parents and students).

*NEW* Student Class Dues

We are bringing back this classic! Lots of schools have class dues to support their grade level activities, and we really need it at Landon. Sixth and seventh graders pay $20 and eight graders pay $40 (since eighth grade has many more activities). You can pay your class dues here (and yes, this is different than your PTSA membership.)

A primary source of fundraising for JLCP PTSA is selling Landon merchandise. Right now, you can create your own custom design with thousands of options in our Spirit Store! Landon gets 12% of all sales.


Additionally, occasionally we offer pre-order items available through Givebacks. Keep your eyes out for an email from us about this. We often do this at the beginning of the school year.


(parent tip: There are no gym uniforms for JLCP, so ordering from us is a great option for your child to wear to gym.)

Why Should I Join?

The number one reason to join the Parent Teacher & Student Association is to benefit your child. In doing so, you also help your school. But there are many more advantages:

  • Get Connected. There’s no better way to know what’s happening in your school.
  • Discover Great Resources. The PTSA offers a variety of programs designed for parents as well as students.
  • Tap into a Network. PTSA functions are opportunities to meet other parents and teachers, building rapport and discussing issues that are on your mind. You can share ideas, concerns, and experiences.
  • Watch Yourself Grow. By volunteering with your PTSA, you put your skills and hobbies to use for a noble cause—your child and all children in the community.
  • Speak Up. PTSA can be a way for you to more effectively suggest change at your child’s school.

What Are the Benefits of Joining?

Aside from the good work your membership dollars will contribute at Landon, your membership allows you to enjoy savings at several local businesses. Be sure to check out the National PTA Member Benefits, as well.

I Was a PTSA Member Last Year. Do I Need to Join Again This Year?

Yes, membership in PTSA is for only one year at one school. You will need to renew your membership each year at each school where you would like to be a member. (And, yes, you can be a member of more than one PTSA/PTA! We strongly encourage it!)
